Alison (She/Her) qualified as a Person-centred counsellor in 2006 and has since become an IFS (Internal Family Systems) informed therapist and Clinical Supervisor, also integrating other approaches into her work when appropriate. She has worked in a variety of agencies since training, working with a wide variety of clients. She specialises in working with Identity, LGBTQ+ community, GSRD (Gender, Sexuality & Relationship Diversity), and Women’s health, with a particular focus on anti-oppression.
Alison began teaching 12 years ago, delivering Introduction to Counselling courses and has since taught at levels 2, 3 and 4 (diploma). She has a passion for offering good quality training and enjoys facilitating others’ learning process, enabling them to not only learn and develop their understanding of themselves and others around them, but also to develop their counselling skills and practice too.
Alison is a registered member of BACP.
